Plumly Privacy Policy

We understand that you are trusting Plumly with proprietary information critical to your business. We take this responsibility seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. This policy applies to use of our marketing website and our applications.

What Data We Collect

We may collect information about you, including but not limited to your name, IP address, contact information, device information, how you use our website, and/or role at your company.

As a customer of Plumly, we will ask for your authorization to integrate with other software solutions that you use including CRMs, other sales support software, and Microsoft products. You will be asked to grant authorization to such tools explicitly. We understand that data from these tools is highly sensitive and includes such information as:

  • Personal information about employees that might be stored in these systems
  • Customer contact, contract, and sales opportunity information
  • Information about meetings on employee calendars
  • Contents of messages and communications between your team and others outside your organization
  •

Why We Collect Your Data

Plumly’s software integrates and synthesizes data from multiple sources to provide you transparency and insights into how your sales efforts are proceeding. This might include, for example, identifying a sales opportunity where the sales representative has not yet scheduled a follow-up meeting. To accomplish such tasks, Plumly brings together data from disparate sources, applies data science and various algorithms to the data and generates views and insights to help you and your team manage the sales process. More advanced examples might include interpreting risk in opportunities by assessing e-mail messages for tone.

How We Use Your Data

Plumly uses your data to provide the services for which you contracted and to improve our products.

Communicating with You

We use the information you provide about yourself when requesting information or placing an order only to provide you information about our products and services or to execute the order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that process.

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our newsletter as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the applicable registration form.

Providing Services

Providing services include synthesizing information from different sources in your organization and sharing such data views or insights with others within your organization. This includes collecting information created by employees and synthesizing it for the manager or for the employee. Plumly assumes there is a relationship between levels of your organization such that managers and other business leaders are able to see information created by employees. The specific information visibility within your organization will change over time, and we encourage you to explore such data during implementation and monitor our upgrade release notes for any changes.

Improving Our Products

We may use your information to improve our product, services, website, or other tools and documentation, however this information will always be deidentified. Improving our products might include:

  • improving the functionality of our software;
  • improving our website;
  • improving how we communicate with customers; and
  • using your data to contribute to pools of data that assist in developing de-identified benchmarks (e.g., we might measure the average sales cycle for all customers to assist each customer in understanding how it compares to the average).

No customer will ever have access to another customer’s data. The examples above may use data to produce outcomes, but your data underlying the decisions will never be exposed in a way that can identify you or your organization.

We will never sell your data to a third party, whether in raw format or anonymized. We will only share your data with a third party when:

  1. required by law;
  2. you explicitly grant Plumly permission to integrate with other software you use, such as your CRM; or
  3. we engage service providers to operate the software, such as cloud services or messaging services, and only when such service providers have commitments to privacy and security that meet or exceed ours.

Data Retention

Plumly will retain your data in compliance with its own policies unless you request that it be deleted in writing, in which case such deletion will be accomplished within 30 days. Any data that has been combined into aggregated data measures and is no longer identifiable as your data will not be deleted. This may include, for example, the average sales cycle of all customers.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Changes to our Privacy Statements

From time to time we may change or update our Privacy Statement. We reserve the right to make changes or updates at any time. If we make material changes to the way we process your personal information, we will notify you by posting a notice in our platform or on a community post; by sending you a notification; or by other means consistent with applicable law.
